Shuttle Driver

Reports to: Producer and Hospitality Coordinator

 

Job Purpose: To provide safe and friendly shuttle transportation for performers and guests. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be of Alberta legal age
  • Must have a valid Alberta drivers licence 
  • Must have a good drivers history and provide drivers abstract if deemed necessary
  • Must be prepared to safely lift heavy weighted and awkward items, luggage and equipment

Work setting:

 

  • Sitting in a vehicle
  • Hotel lobby 
  • Festival and hotel parking lot
  • Airport arrivals and departures
  • Outdoors rain or shine

 

Timeframe:

  • Friday afternoon to Sunday evening

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Required to transport passengers and materials irrespective of weather, traffic and road conditions
  • Understand and comply with road and safety regulations in a safe and courteous manner
  • Drive responsibly and take care of the physical safety of the passengers
  • Provides shuttle service for performers and guests from the hotel to the festival site following schedule provided by Producer
  • Provides transportation to and from airport for fly-in performers and guests
  • Assists with check in and checkout hotel as required
  • Assists with loading and unloading luggage and music gear
  • Assists with boarding passengers if needed
  • Report any problem with the shuttle vehicle to the Producer/Volunteer Team/Rental Agency for proper corrective action
  • Ensure the inside cleanliness of the shuttle
  • Works in conjunction with hospitality to provide Red Deer tourism information including questions about local venues and attractions
  • Provides a good impression and enthusiastically answers any questions about the festival
  • Understand and complies with the Central Music Fest volunteer regulations and code of ethics
