Reports to: Festival Producer

Job Purpose: To provide a safe and creative area for children.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience working with children
• Must provide a child and youth Criminal Record Check 
  • available from the Red Deer RCMP with a volunteer letter http://www.reddeer.ca/City+Government/City+Services+and+Departments/RCMP/default.htm

Work setting:

• Outdoors rain or shine
• Inside Tent

Timeframe:

• Friday afternoon to Sunday evening

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Works with Festival Producer to decide on children's entertainment and activities
• Provides guidance to Kids Korner Assistants
• Good verbal communication skills and sensitivity to customer needs 
• Ensures safety of children’s activities; may need to remind parents that they are responsible for children
• The ability to work with little supervision
• Coordinates, facilitates and engages activities for children's entertainment
• Provides crafts for the children and their parents to participate in
• Provides refreshments (water or kool-aid)
• Ensures a safe, clean and friendly environment
• Provides a good impression and enthusiastically answers any questions about the festival
• Understand and complies with the Central Music Fest volunteer regulations and code of ethics
