WHAT IS A GO GREEN TEAM AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
In 2009 our Go Green Teams (GGT) are comprised of enthusiastic individuals with seeking to: reach the specific target audience of Albertans to create awareness and provide information on the importance of beverage container recycling; to educate the target audience about the current bottle depot system in Alberta and the benefits of using it; to divert beverage containers from landfills by providing bins at various events and locations around Alberta.
At events, they engage your attendees through providing them with small items that they can use during the event (i.e. Norway Spruce Tree kits, hand sanitizer, lip balm, etc.), and where the event allows, motivate people to recycle more of their containers by trading in their empties for a full bottle of water. Our teams can be set up at a designated stationary location, or we can travel through the site, bringing the message directly to the people. And, since we want people to recycle more containers, we are also committed to providing additional recycling bins to your event to make it easier for people to deposit their containers throughout your site. Another advantage to your event is that we do not interfere with your existing agreements- all collection arrangements and proceeds remain with your organization and/or your existing partners. In fact, we add value to your program by increasing revenue with the number of containers deposited.
